This work belongs to the series “Inopia Beyond”, where these creatures look into our world from their own — from imagination into reality — through the connecting window that art is able to create. In this series, each Inopia is represented with a creative tool; in this case, a jar filled with white paint, symbolizing the often underestimated power of the untouched areas within a work of art — the creative potential of “nothingness.”

Peering into our own imagination with attention can lead to personal discovery, beyond the impulsive wanderings we inhabit when we leave the mind blank. It is worth keeping in mind that sometimes the habitat of ideas we encounter will be wild. Untamed thoughts may bring us an exciting and varied happiness, but also anguish if we only observe them from afar and do not try to enter into dialogue with our inner selves.
