The skin of the world, in the form of earth and rock, is the primal element upon which everything is built, even the oceans. It offers us wide stability and sustenance, as well as sharp elevated paths to travel in search of new places and to surpass our goals — a path to follow in order to grow and improve while discovering new emotions, ideas, or beings that accompany us, enjoying the views and the journey without the need to wait for a specific destination.

This work belongs to the series “Alterations”, composed of paired pieces that show the before — nature in its pure and balanced state, offering us benefits if we coexist with it responsibly — and the after, where the previous scene appears altered by a negative human action, selfish and self-interested, where often it is not enough to strip nature of its vitality, but it even becomes a waste by failing to properly make use of the resources obtained.
